MONTROSE, Pa. — The Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Susquehanna County regret to inform the public that the annual Plant Sale scheduled for May 8 and 9 at Tannery Place parking lot in Montrose has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 (Corona Virus) pandemic.
The Master Gardener Plant Sale is our largest fundraiser and helps fund educational gardening programs for residents throughout the county. We look forward to planning next year’s plant sale and are excited for you to take part in our future fundraiser/sale and educational workshops.
During this time the Penn State Extension office at 88 Chenango Street in Montrose is closed. The good news is that local Master Gardener volunteers are standing by and are ready to answer the public’s gardening questions with research-based answers. You may contact the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Susquehanna County by calling our hotline at 570.660.9003 and leaving a message or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Beginning in April, we have several Master Gardener program updates coming featuring a lot of new virtual programs being offered to the public with safety in mind. Hint: Master Gardener TV (MGTV) will present: Victory Garden Re-invented and Garden Hotline Live, and a children’s program called Growing Gardeners to name a few! All these programs will be offered free of charge and are viewable at home on your computer or smart TV. You only need to register in order to receive the link to join.
