YANKTON, S.D. — The S.D. Specialty Producers Association (SDSPA) is excited to announce upcoming educational opportunities for local and niche producers to improve their digital marketing strategies. These classes will help producers build their business and learn new ways to reach customers this year. Virtual and in-person class options are available.
Shelly Gaddis, University of Sioux Falls Professor and owner of The Foundress Family, will present ‘Boosting Your Online Customer Connections’ on Sat., Jan. 8, at 11:00 A.M CST.
The 90-minute webinar will cover topics pertaining to marketing and branding a business with an emphasis on free/low-cost tools and applications that can simplify this process for producers. The program will focus on tools such as Canva, Hootsuite, Later, Mailchimp, and PicCollage.
Attendees will gain knowledge to perform functions such as scheduling content, social selling, creating graphics & graphical content, and utilizing email newsletter templates and automatic email systems. Gaddis will give an overview of these platforms and share the best ways to utilize them to reach your customers.
This webinar is intended for those producers who are involved in their own marketing and have a basic understanding of social media networks such as Facebook and Instagram. This event will feature Canva usage for developing marketing materials and graphical content as well as marketing platforms, creating content, finding your audience, targeted email marketing, retaining leads via social media and websites.
This class will offer in-depth Q & A to discuss tool application and go over questions that are pressing to participants’ businesses. Although this class is geared towards specialty crop and agriculture producers, business owners of all types and experiences are welcome to participate.
