ITHACA, N.Y. — The public is invited to attend the 2022 Annual Meeting and Breakfast of Cornell Cooperative Extension Tompkins County (CCE-Tompkins) on Thursday, December 8th from 8:30-10:00 a.m. at Coltivare Restaurant, 235 S. Cayuga Street in Ithaca. Coltivare is the culinary education center and farm-to-bistro restaurant of Tompkins Cortland Community College.
The event will begin with a continental breakfast of pastries and breads or muffins, fruit salad, and whole fruit; fruit juices, coffee and tea will be served. There will be vegan and gluten-free options. Tickets are $12 per person, some scholarship assistance is available.
This year’s featured speaker is Marcia Eames-Sheavly, who will invite us all to reflect on the topic of “Opportunities through Transition”. Eames-Sheavly has been a garden-based learning educator since 1984 and Senior Extension Associate (emerita) and Senior Lecturer (emerita) with the Cornell University School of Integrative Plant Science Horticulture Section. Now an ICF Certified Integral Professional Coach and Courage & Renewal Facilitator, she facilitates meaningful conversations among her colleagues and in her communities, aiming to manifest the dispositions that she believes are central to personal growth and social welfare: reflective practice, inclusivity, creative collaboration, and deep listening.
The annual meeting also will include recognition of retiring board and program committee members, and a very brief election of new members for 2023. More details are available on the CCE-Tompkins website.
