ALBANY, Texas — The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host the Managing Wildlife as a Beef Producer program from 8-11:30 a.m. in Albany.
The event will be held at the Shackleford County Courtroom, 225 S. Main St. Cost is $20, payable onsite by cash or check made out to Shackelford Ag Committee.
“This program is meant for the rancher focusing on beef production as their main income source and No. 1 priority, but who also desires to manage the wildlife well,” said Kelsey Bell, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent, Shackelford County.
“Balancing both can be done with the proper insight into the interaction between the two sides, and the available resources,” she said.
Two Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units are available, one general and one integrated pest management.
