BROOKINGS, S.D. — South Dakota’s farmers and ranchers are invited to attend the 2018 Managing the Ag Margin Webinar series hosted by SDSU Extension. The two-week series begins July 24.
“This series will enable producers to frequently quantify and monitor whole farm portfolio value-at-risk (VaR) when adopting various marketing strategies and insurance products,” said Lisa Elliott, Assistant Professor & SDSU Extension Commodity Marketing Specialist.
The speakers of this webinar series will explain how fundamental and technical information can be incorporated into ag marketing plans. Speakers include: Lisa Elliott, Assistant Professor & SDSU Extension Commodity Marketing Specialist; Matthew Elliott, SDSU Extension Agribusiness Specialist; Jack Davis, SDSU Extension Crops Business Management Field Specialist and Shannon Sand, SDSU Extension Livestock Business Management Field Specialist.
In order to foster continual knowledge building from session to session, the webinars have been developed as a complete series. Participants are encouraged to attend all webinars.
