WATERTOWN, N.Y. — Small-scale and even urban vegetable production has increasingly shown the efficacy of low and no-tillage methods for gardeners and market growers. Through dense and continuous planting, vegetable crops can be produced from early spring through fall. This FREE program will discuss establishment of new beds, weed control, planting methods, sources of mulch/compost, and ways to minimize labor inputs. Strategies to minimize or eliminate plastic usage will also be discussed.
The program will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 10AM-12PM at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County offices located at 203 North Hamilton St. Watertown, NY 13601. Veterans and Military Families are welcome and encouraged to attend.
