JEFFERSON CITY — Missouri Corn is now accepting applications for the 10th class of the CornRoots Leadership Academy. Designed for young adults working in the corn industry, this leadership development program consists of three segments.
In the introductory meeting taking place Dec. 14-15 in Jefferson City, participants will learn about consumer perceptions, how to work with the media, and today’s political process. The second session takes place Jan. 26-27 in conjunction with the MCGA annual meeting, also in Jefferson City. Here, the class will put their training to work at the Missouri State Capitol. The third and final portion of the academy is slated for mid-July in Washington, D.C., where growers will participate in the National Corn Growers Association Corn Congress, and travel to Capitol Hill to talk with legislators outside the Corn Belt.
With no shortage of issues, now is the time to get involved in today’s corn industry. Become a leader in your community and Missouri agriculture. Learn more about the CornRoots Leadership Academy and download an application. Applications are due in the Missouri Corn office by Nov. 13, 2020.
