FORT WORTH, Texas – The Lone Star Ag Credit Board of Directors recently appointed Steven Beakley of Ellis County to join the lending cooperative’s board.
Beakley farms and ranches in Ellis County where he raises cotton, corn, wheat and sunflowers, and has a cow-calf operation. He also operates Beakley Farms Grain in Bardwell, Texas, and produces and sells certified seed as a WestBred Wheat associate.
A member of the Ellis County AgriLife Extension Advisory Board, Beakley also is vice president of Avalon Co-op Gin and is a representative for the Northern Blacklands zone on the Texas Boll Weevil Eradication Foundation. He and his wife, Amber, have two daughters.
