Grab and friend and join us on Wednesday from Noon to 1pm at the Palo Alto County Extension Office and learn about the different steps and things you have to prepare for retirement.
On Wednesday Jan 3 the session will be Begin By Planning Today. In this session, we will explore where your retirement money will come from and how to grow your nest egg.
On Wednesday, January 10 the session will Picture Your Future. In this session “Picture Your Future,” and decide where you want to live when you retire. Imagine your life at age 70. Let us discover how to take small steps now—in many instances, less than $6 a day and earn big rewards in the future.
On Wednesday January 17, the session Plan for Retirement and Build a Bridge to Your Future. This session teaches you how to make management decisions and identify strategies to get retirement plans started.
On Wednesday, January 24 the session Social Security: Understanding Your Options. In this session Social Security, learn ways about when to start drawing social security benefits. Understand your options of choosing your own or a spouse’s benefits. Making these decisions can affect your benefits for life.
On Wednesday, January 31, the final session will be Roth IRA vs Traditional IRA. How do you know which individual Retirement Annuity (IRA) is best for your personal Situation? Discover the difference between ROTH vs a Traditional IRA.
There are five sessions being offered and you have the option to attend all five session or you can choose the sessions that best fit you.
All these sessions will be held in the basement meeting room of the Palo Alto County Extension and Outreach and a light lunch will be served for each session. The cost to attend this is $5. Please call the Palo Alto Extension Office to register for which sessions you would like to attend.
