DUBUQUE, Iowa — Join us for a Local Wine Night on Friday, March 20, 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the Hotel Julien Dubuque. Whether you are a seasoned sipper or wanting to know more about wine, this class has something for everyone. With Dubuque County being home to many wineries, find out more about the process of winemaking, grape growing, the principles of wine tasting and sensory evaluation, and what makes Iowa wine so unique.
We will be talking about:
• how grapes are grown
• which grapes are used to make different types of wine
• meeting with local winemakers
• principles of wine tasting and sensory evaluation
