WEATHERFORD, Texas — It’s not often that a lender treats its customers to a fine dining experience. But at the rural lending co-op Lone Star Ag Credit, hosting customer appreciation dinners for its members is an annual event.
Recently, the co-op’s Weatherford office held a dinner at the Fire Oak Grill. More than 130 borrowers attended the event to enjoy good food and fellowship. Every customer received a parting gift, and many lucky attendees also received gift cards.
“We appreciate our customers taking the time to join us each year for this dinner,” said Lindsey Ellsworth, Lone Star vice president and branch manager in Weatherford. “We want to thank them because they are the reason our association continues to grow.”
Ellsworth took a few moments before the dinner to congratulate borrowers on their part in the co-op’s success in 2016, including a record $13.8 million in patronage, which was distributed to members in March.
This year the lending cooperative is hosting dinners for each of its 16 branches across North and Central Texas, as well as open houses, annual stockholder luncheons and other events.
