PARIS, Texas — It’s not often that a lender treats its customers to a good meal. But at the rural lending co-op Lone Star Ag Credit, hosting customer appreciation dinners for its members is an annual event.
Recently, the co-op’s Paris office held a dinner at Heritage Hall that was catered by Crawford’s Hole in the Wall, a local restaurant. More than 100 borrowers attended the event to enjoy good food and fellowship. Every customer received a parting gift, and many lucky attendees also received gift cards.
“Serving our customers well is a priority at Lone Star Ag Credit,” said Barbara Golden, president of the Paris office. “We are glad to see so many of them at this dinner, where we can thank them face to face.”
Golden took a few moments before the dinner to congratulate borrowers on their part in the co-op’s success in 2016, including a record $13.8 million in patronage, which was distributed to members in March.
This year the lending cooperative is hosting dinners for each of its 16 branches across North and Central Texas, as well as open houses, annual stockholder luncheons and other events.
Lone Star Ag Credit serves 48 Texas counties, providing financing for rural land, country homes, agribusinesses, livestock, agricultural equipment and operating expenses.
Headquartered in Fort Worth, Lone Star has credit offices in Abilene, Cleburne, Corsicana, Denton, Fort Worth, Hillsboro, Lampasas, Mount Pleasant, New Boston, Paris, Round Rock, Sherman, Stephenville, Sweetwater, Temple, Waco and Weatherford.
