COLUMBIA — Join the conversation at the upcoming Land Access Initiative meeting at 9:00 – 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 22nd in Room 214 of the Richland County Main Library, 1431 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC 29201.

This meeting will focus on one of the key next steps we identified from our last meeting: begin planning Land Access Workshops for Fall 2017. This is an important way to engage and inspire farm owners and farm seekers interested in farm transition opportunities to strengthen our local food system, and a great way to introduce the new SC Farm link program.  Dave Lamie, Chanda Cooper and David Harper lead the discussion & share best practices from around the country from the American Farmland Trust “land access trainer” training and the national land access conference, “Changing Lands-Changing Hands” (http://landforgood.org/our-work/changing-lands-changing-hands/)
