SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Dairy farmers and county dairy promotion committees in the American Dairy Association North East’s six-state region can apply to receive a local promotion grant of up to $250 to help support grassroots promotions and events.

Applications will be evaluated on the following:

  • The project’s capacity to enhance knowledge of the dairy industry and/or the health and nutrition benefits of milk and dairy products.
  • The events or projects must be consumer-focused and must align with ADA North East programming, including Fuel Up to Play 60, Refuel with Chocolate Milk, farm tours or school programs.
  • The applicant must be a dairy farmer, dairy promotion committee member or dairy princess or ambassador in the ADA North East territory, and must be 18 years of age or older.

Grants will be awarded in 2022 on a first-come, first-served basis, provided the goals and objectives of the program are met. One grant is available per farm business or organization per year.

Proposals for the 2022 grant program can be submitted at any time during 2022. The award committee will notify approved recipients shortly after the application is received and reviewed.

Recipients are required to provide a brief written summary of the project or event after completion. If possible, applicants are asked to provide photographs.

Online applications are available here, or a hard copy can be printed from the “grant criteria” link on the website.
