DeBARY, Fla. — Learn how to select and care for roses during a free program at DeBary Hall Historic Site, 198 Sunrise Blvd., DeBary.
Master Gardener Howard Jeffries will offer tips on planting, pruning, watering and fertilizing the persnickety plants at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, in DeBary Hall’s stable.
Jeffries is a volunteer with the University of Florida/Volusia County Extension. He and other trained master gardeners answer gardening questions at the Volusia County Agricultural Center, present horticultural classes to community groups, and staff information booths at fairs and garden shows.
