By Ryan Pankau, University of Illinois Extension Horticulture Educator
All plant communities have areas of transition between different habitat types. These habitat edges are interesting and dynamic areas that often require additional management considerations. The transition between pasture edges and woodlands are no different. Ryan Pankau will discuss the management of edge habitats to provide wildlife value and stimulate native plant communities. - From Overgrazed to a Full Bite
By Dr. Keith Johnson, Professor of Agronomy at Purdue
During this presentation, Johnson will examine how to evaluate a pasture in need of renovation and the steps to make improvements. Special focus will be on fertilization, weed control, forage selection and rotational stocking.
