CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Franklin County 4-H will be offering a Composting Special Interest (SPIN) Club to youth ages 5-18 (as of January 1). Participants will learn about composting basics, how to build a compost tumbler, decomposing organisms, how to use compost, and more. Each family will build their own compost tumbler! Adult support will be required.Â
The club will meet on Thursdays at 6:30 PM, June 3-25 and July 1 & 22. The meetings will take place virtually via Zoom, except for one in-person, outdoor meeting where the compost tumblers will be built.
To participate, youth will need to enroll in Franklin County 4-H. The enrollment fee is $21. Contact Jess Howe at juk600@psu.edu to register by May 28.
