COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. — Penn State Extension is offering two pest identification walks for Green Industry Professionals to learn about insects, diseases and weeds that occur in landscapes. The sessions will be held on July 2 at Black Rock Park, Upper Providence Township, 1286 Black Rock Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460 and on July 3 at the Lehigh County Agricultural Center, 4184 Dorney Park Road, Allentown, PA 18014. Both sessions will start at noon.
These Pest Walks are approved for recertification credits by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture for and for arborist credits by the International Society of Arboriculture. Penn State Extension educators will lead the tours which will be held outdoors, so please dress appropriately for the weather. The pest walks will be held rain or shine. If severe weather threatens, we will meet in a pavilion and work from samples of the pest problems.
The cost to attend either day is $20 per person which includes a snack and handouts.
Pre-registration is required by July 1.
