LANCASTER, Pa. — Farmers growing grain for the livestock market and who wish to transition or certify their land for organic production are encouraged to attend Penn State Extension’s “Organic Transitions Study Circle.” This event will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., March 24, at the Farm and Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Road, Lancaster.
This interactive workshop will combine short presentations with open discussion and networking with experienced farmers, certification specialist, and Penn State Extension and Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture experts. All farming experience levels are encouraged to attend and add to the discussion.
There is no cost for this workshop; however, because lunch will be provided, registration is required.
