PRINCETON, Ky. — The Kentucky Soybean Promotion Board (KSPB) recently conducted its summer meeting and re-elected its executive committee. Serving as Chairman is Ryan Bivens of Hodgenville. Vice-Chair is Jed Clark of Mayfield, and Larry Thomas of Elizabethtown rounds out the organization’s leadership as Secretary/Treasurer.
KSPB board members are appointed – four by the Kentucky Soybean Association, two by Kentucky Farm Bureau and one by the Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture. The Kentucky representatives who serve on the United Soybean Board and the American Soybean Association Board are also members of the KSPB by virtue of those positions.
The remaining members of the Board are: Brent Gatton of Bremen, Gerry Hayden of Calhoun, Glenn Howell of Fulton, Kim McCoy of Burkesville, Allen Pace of LaCenter, Caleb Ragland of Magnolia, Fred L. Sipes of Ekron, Keith Tapp of Sebree, and Davie Stephens of Clinton.
The Kentucky Soybean Board is the entity entrusted with investing Kentucky’s soybean checkoff in research, education and promotional projects and activities across the state.
