COLUMBUS, Ohio — Giving Tuesday is Nov. 29, and this year the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation has received a $25,000 gift from The Kroger Co. that serves as a match for the upcoming national day of philanthropy.

“At Kroger, our Fresh for Everyone mission is anchored in our commitment to sourcing and manufacturing only the best and freshest products and making them available to anyone, anytime, anywhere. We’re dedicated to fostering innovation and investing in organizations like the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation who are helping young people learn about careers in agriculture, manufacturing and more,” said Amy McCormick, foundation board 2nd vice president and corporate affairs manager for The Kroger Company.

The Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation is dedicated to creating pathways for young people to learn about the variety and viability of careers in agriculture.

“This gift provides a great incentive for all those passionate about the future of Ohio agriculture to double their impact during this year’s Giving Tuesday efforts, and we are grateful for Kroger’s support,” said Kelly Burns, executive director of the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation.
