COLUSA, Calif. — California Assemblyman James Gallagher will deliver the keynote address at the 18th annual Colusa Farm Show Rabo AgriFinance Breakfast. The breakfast will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, in Saint Bernadette’s Hall, 745 Ware St., in Colusa, California, beginning at 7 a.m.
Assemblyman Gallagher has represented California’s Third Assembly District since 2014. Before joining the Assembly, he served on the Sutter County Board of Supervisors for six years. Gallagher serves as vice chair of the Elections and Redistricting, Judiciary, and Water, Parks and Wildlife Committees. He also serves on the committees for budget, governmental organizations and privacy and consumer protection.
Colusa Farm Show Breakfast Committee Chair Les Heringer said, “Assemblyman Gallagher has been a champion for the North State and worked hard for our communities in the wake of the Camp Fire and the Oroville Dam spillway emergency. As a partner in his family’s farming operation, he understands the challenges facing agriculture, and we look forward to hearing his perspective.”
Roland Fumasi, senior vice president and agricultural economist for Rabo AgriFinance, will provide an update on the economic outlook of agriculture in the coming year. Fumasi and his team analyze and conduct market research on California agribusiness as well as the North American fresh fruit and produce sectors.
Hosted by alumni of the California State University, Chico College of Agriculture, California Agricultural Leadership Foundation and Alpha Gamma Rho, the event has raised nearly $500,000 for scholarships and leadership programs in its 16-year history.
