HAYS, Kan. — The Kansas Sheep Symposium will be help October 16-17, 2020 in Hays, KS. This event is sponsored by the Kansas Sheep Association with cooperation from Kansas State University Extension.
Friday morning will start with a tour of nearby businesses and sheep farms. After a social and light meal the evening session leads off with a producer forum featuring three sheep operations giving short presentations followed by a question and answer session. The evening concludes with a Sheep Trivia game with awards given to the winning teams.
Saturday is a busy day with many speakers and industry updates. Topics include Grazing and Drought Preparedness, an update from Superior Farms, nutrition, youth sheep projects and the results of the 2020 KDA Sheep and Goat Survey.
Major sponsors of the event are Purina Feeds, Superior Farms and the Kansas Sheep Council.
