MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. — Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County will be hosting Field Meetings with Dr. Lynn Sosnoskie, Cornell Weed Ecologist. The meeting will include information about Palmer Amaranth & other Weeds to Watch. NYSDEC Pesticide Recertification Credits have been applied for in 1A, 3A, 10, 21, 22, 23, 25.
The Field Meeting with Dr. Lynn Sosnoskie will be held on two dates at different locations. The first will take place on Tuesday, July 13th at Wagon Wheel Farm located at 363 Sarah Wells Trail in Goshen, N.Y. from 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. and the second will take place on Wednesday, July 14th at Stanton’s Feura Farm located at 210 from 210 Onesquethaw Creek Road in Feura Bush, N.Y. from 10:30 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. The cost is $15.00 per farm before Friday, July 9th and $25.00 per farm after and at the door. All in-effect NYSDOH COVID safety protocols will be followed on the meeting date.
Farmers are also invited to join Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County for an Onion Pest Update on Wednesday, July 21st from 12:00 noon – 1:00 P.M. at Modern Produce located at 77 Skinner’s Lane in Goshen, NY.
This 1-hour program will feature a variety of onion topics on pest identification and management. NYSDEC Pesticide Recertification Credits have been applied for in: 1A, 10, 23.
Registration for the Onion Pest Update includes lunch and is $25.00 per person before Friday, July 16th and will be $35.00 per person after. Please report dietary restrictions in your registration!
