Responsible for delivery of established Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP-Ed) Community and School Garden PSE (Policy, Systems and Environment) plan with the goal of improving access to and consumption of vegetables and fruits with SNAP and SNAP eligible groups through edible gardens. With guidance from supervisor, this Garden Educator will implement the garden environmental strategies in an 11 county Finger Lakes area, primarily in the Rochester area.This position will assist supervisor and the FLESNY Team to increase the Finger Lakes Eat Smart New York (FLESNY) capacity to support sustainable gardens in low-income communities. This individual will be employed and supervised by Tompkins County CCE but will be located and work out of the Monroe County CCE offices for the convenience of the program.
