Cornell Cooperative Extension of Allegany County is hiring a part time (20 hours a week) 4-H staff member to deliver a STEM-based Agricultural Careers curriculum in an after-school setting. Serve as a member of the 4-H Youth Development team to assist with implementation and evaluation of the 4-H Youth Development educational programs and activities. Coordinate and deliver established Agriculture in the Classroom curriculum with the aim of fostering awareness, understanding, and appreciation of how we produce food and fiber, what we eat, and how we live by helping teachers, students, and their communities learn about and engage with agriculture and food systems. Interact with the public through classroom presentations. Assist Supervisor with activities to foster the program with community leaders. Appreciate and promote diversity in all interactions with program participants, staff, volunteers, and the public.
