MADISON — We have received many calls regarding the nomination process for the James Crowley State Award. This year, counties do NOT need to send in nominations for their county winner(s). Instead, please award your county award to your county winner and encourage that youth and any other eligible youth in your county to apply for the state award. It is our goal to increase the applicant pool this way. Again, please encourage ALL eligible youth in your county to apply for the state award. All deadlines and eligibility is listed below.
Eligibility
- Must be currently enrolled in the 4-H Dairy Project and have at least two previous years of membership in it.
- Must be in 10th-12th grades as of January 1, 2019.
- Should have an outstanding record of involvement and accomplishments in the 4-H Dairy Project.
- Must not have received a Crowley scholarship previously. Youth who received a plaque award only may reapply towards the scholarship.
Applications are due May 1, 2019.
