BATAVIA, N.Y. — Want to become a Master Gardener? Master Gardener Training is your first step. Or if you just want to further your horticultural knowledge, Master Gardener Training will cover a variety of informational topics.
Training will begin Sept. 5 and run through Nov. 14.
Classes will be held Wednesday evenings from 5:45 to 9 p.m. with an additional required session on Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Subjects to be covered include:
- Houseplants
- Herbs, Annuals & Perennials
- Composting & Soil pH
- Fruits & Vegetables
- Plant Diseases
- Backyard Birds
- Beneficial & Harmful Insects
- Integrated Pest Management
- Wildlife Management
- Weed Control
- And much more!
Registration has been extended to Aug. 30. Class size is limited, pre-registration is required.
This Genesee County training can also be used for Wyoming County Master Gardener trainees.
Cost is $225 per person — this includes all class sessions and materials.
