PRIMGHAR, Iowa — Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach Week is April 16-21.
ISU Extension and Outreach is part of the federal Cooperative Extension Service – a network of more than 100 land-grant institutions, including Iowa State University and the United States Department of Agriculture.
ISU Extension and Outreach carries Iowa’s land-grant mission throughout the state to all of Iowa’s 99 counties, connecting the needs of Iowans with ISU research and resources. We provide education and partnerships designed to solve today’s problems and prepare for the future.
Our main educational areas include:
- Agriculture and the Environment
- 4-H Youth Development
- Community and Economic Development
- Human Sciences (Family Life, Family Finance, and Nutrition and Wellness)
ISU Extension and Outreach covers the entire life span, from Iowa’s youngest to oldest residents. More than 1 million people directly benefit from ISU Extension and Outreach educational programs each year, and millions more connect with us online.
From youth summer camps to manure management trainings, community leadership classes and Food Preservation 101, we are everywhere for Iowans.
We invite you to stop into your local ISU Extension and Outreach office, give us a call, visit us online https://www.extension.iastate.edu/countyservices/, and/or follow us on social media.
