BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) has hired Megan Miller for a newly created role. As ag innovations and technology transfer manager, Miller will be responsible for state, regional and national project coordination, farm enterprise profitability programs and emerging technology adoption. She also will be essential to the soybean value and composition, Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) and Yield Challenge programs.
“We welcome Miller’s background in technology innovation and project management. We are eager to work with her as ISA supports our soybean producers as leaders in the agricultural industry,” says Linda Kull, Ph.D., ISA director of ag innovations and technology transfer.
Miller was most recently a small grains Extension associate at North Carolina State University.
“Illinois’ soybean producers are operating in a dynamic global marketplace with the reality that it’s always changing. It will require fresh innovation and adoption of new technologies and tools to flex with those changes,” says Miller. “I look forward to working with both industry and producers to move the soybean industry ahead.”
The Illinois native has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Eastern Illinois University and a master’s degree in plant pathology from North Carolina State University – Raleigh. Her employment was effective Nov. 1.
