SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Pork Producers Association is looking for young farmers, college students and anyone else in the market to brush up their social media skills who want to further dive into advocating for the pork industry. As a result, a Social Advocate Training is scheduled for Nov. 26 at the IPPA office in Springfield, Ill., 6411 S. 6th St.
This one-day, expense free training is offered courtesy of the National Pork Board and Illinois Pork. Enjoy networking with like-minded folks and add some new tools to your advocating toolbox. Topics to be discussed include: social media foundations, why should farmers be on social, taking better photos with your phone, what’s up in Illinois, Apps to help you advocate, sharing resonating stories, creating the most appropriate responses, and put your skills to work.
