ANKENY, IowaĀ ā The Iowa State Dairy Association (ISDA) will hold itsĀ annual meeting on Friday, Dec. 2, at the Quality Inn & Suites in Ames.Ā All ISDA members are invited to attend, along with anyone interested in dairy who wishes to explore opportunities for becoming a member. Registration for the meeting is free.
This yearās meeting will kick off at 10 a.m. with dairy industry speakers. DeWayne Dill, CEO of Facticity Technologies, Inc., will discuss how vendor categories and product offerings fit together and the trade-offs and considerations for developing a sustainability strategy that makes sense for dairy operations. He will also introduce DairyOffice, a platform designed to aggregate all the data required to calculate a daily assessment of sustainability metrics.
In addition, Jim Mulher, president and CEO of the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF), will review dairy policy, discuss NMPFās efforts to modernize the Federal Milk Marketing Order program and look ahead to the 2023 Farm Bill. NMPF uses their unique resources to harness the ever-changing climate in the politics and marketing of milk and dairy products from farm to table to promote the economic well-being of dairy producers and their cooperatives through coordinated industry efforts.
The meeting will also feature the presentation of the Ralph Keeling Leadership Awards and the ISDA business meeting, including officer reports and activity updates. Changes to ISDA policy book will be discussed and voted on by delegates.
