CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. — The UW-Madison Extension office in Chippewa County will host an educational virtual program on the interaction of agriculture and groundwater on March 16 from 10:30am- 12:00pm. Topics and speakers include Kevin Masarik, Division of Extension, Groundwater Education Specialist, “Nitrate, Groundwater, and Agricultural Systems:
Challenges and Opportunities”; Mike Parsen, Division of Extension, Hydogeologist, “Groundwater Movement and Hydrogeology”; Kevan Klingberg, Program Agronomist, Chippewa County Department of Land Conservation and Forest Management, “Chippewa County Groundwater Quality: Past and Present”; and Jerry Clark, Agriculture Agent, Division of Extension Chippewa County, “Historical weather patterns.”
There is no cost to attend. 1.5 Crop Advisor continuing education credits are available in Soil and Water Management.
