RALEIGH, N.C.–Monday August 6th, 2018 NC State University will hold an intensive Industrial Hemp Training event including in-depth information on sample testing, hemp diseases, tissue testing, rough-out budgets, and the current state of regulation.This is a fee-for-service training which will occur just prior to our annual Industrial Hemp Field Day at the Piedmont Research Station. Participation in the training is limited to the first 60 registrants and registration is $50. Lunch and classroom materials are included in your cost. Training begins at 8:00AM and concludes at 12:00PM with lunch.
The Industrial Hemp Field Day will follow in the afternoon beginning at 2:30PM. It is a free event; however, registration is still required to attend. Registration will open July 31st and participation is limited to the first 125 registrants. At the field day we will showcase seed and fiber variety trials, seed and fiber population trials, a CBD variety trial, a CBD nitrogen trial, and a row spacing demonstration. Basic Agronomic practices will be covered and NC State specialists and NCDA professionals will be on hand to answer questions.
Vendor booths will be available for a $75 fee. Vendors may set up starting at 8:00AM. Participants in the training event and the field day will have the opportunity to visit with vendors between noon and 2:30PM and again at the conclusion of the event. Supper for one attendee is included in vendor registration. Participation as part of the morning training event requires a separate registration.
