INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Business Owners, Farmers and Trade Experts Join Senator Lugar to Discuss How Tariffs Are Impacting the Local Economy Thursday, October 4, Tariffs Hurt the Heartland, the nationwide campaign dedicated to showing how tariffs are hurting American families, workers and communities, will host a town hall meeting with Senator Richard Lugar in Indianapolis, IN.
The event will include the personal stories of Indianapolis-area business owners, farmers, and consumers who are bearing the burden of the trade war. Across the country opposition is growing to increased tariffs that have already cost American jobs, caused commodity prices to plummet, and raised the cost of goods for businesses and consumers.
Tariffs Hurt the Heartland is backed by over 100 of the nation’s largest trade organizations that represent thousands of workers and businesses across the country. The campaign recently released an interactive searchable map (TariffsHurt.com) that allows users to find stories across the country of how tariffs are impacting local communities. Learn more about the campaign here, or read about us in the New York Times, Bloomberg, USA Today and the Wall Street Journal.
Light food will be served. Space is limited and seats are filling up fast, please RSVP today to guarantee a spot at the meeting.
