Improving pastures in the Carolinas

Workshop will be held August 29 at 6PM at Caledonia Enterprise Farm

The North Carolina Conservation Districts are hosting spring and fall Improving Pastures Field Days to demonstrate management techniques that will make pastures more weather resilient. All producers and technical resource people are invited to join! You will have lots of time to network with other producers and local cover crop experts as well as view a demonstration field in multi-species cover crops. RALEIGH, N.C.–Have you heard the buzz about Soil Health or Regenerative Farming? Are you managing livestock and want to find a smarter way to do it all? If so, consider joining us for some upcoming workshops!

The North Carolina Conservation Districts are hosting spring and fall Improving Pastures Field Days to demonstrate management techniques that will make pastures more weather resilient. All producers and technical resource people are invited to join! You will have lots of time to network with other producers and local cover crop experts as well as view a demonstration field in multi-species cover crops.

Fishing Creek District’s Improving Pastures Workshop will be held August 29 starting at 6PM at the Caledonia Enterprise Farm, 2787 Caledonia Drive, Halifax NC. The Workshop Agenda includes a discussion of soil health in pasture systems, strategizes to improve forage utilization and nutrient distribution, and a tour of the demonstration. No registration fee; RSVP to Fishing Creek District care of Will Mann at 252.534.4511; will.mann@nc.nacdnet.net or Halifax County Cooperative Extension care of Beth Burchell at 252.583.5161; beth_burchell@ncsu.edu.
