BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The Illinois Soybean Growers is pleased that the U.S. Senate passed legislation on Jan. 16 approving the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).
“The Illinois Soybean Growers (ISG) appreciates our senators’ support for the USMCA that ensures market and trade stability with the second largest export market for U.S. soybeans and leading export market for U.S. pork. Reliable access to export markets is critical for agriculture and the rural economy. We commend members of the U.S. Senate in voting in support of USMCA and look forward to continuing our valuable trade relationships with Mexico and Canada,” said Illinois Soybean Growers President Doug Schroeder, who grows soybeans near Mahomet, Ill.
Illinois Soybean Growers (ISG) is a membership organization serving more than 43,000 Illinois soybean growers. For more information about ISG, visit the website www.ilsoygrowers.com.
