BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — On Tuesday, Sept. 21, the Illinois Fertilizer and Chemical Association and Precision Planting will host a 4R field day at their Precision Technology Institute (PTI) farm in Pontiac, Ill.
The field day is sponsored by IFCA and the 4R Field Day Alliance and will cover many agronomic topics that impact both retailers and growers. Current and former University of Illinois agronomy researchers as well as Precision Planting agronomists will be speaking at the event.
Topics on the agenda are:
- What is “Subsoil P Supply Power” and Why Does It Matter for P 4R’s?
- Agricultural Systems that Reduce Nutrient Loss and Maintain Profitability
- Precision Nutrient Toolbox: FurrowJet, Conceal and HD plots and Equipment Overview
- Progress Towards the Right Nitrogen Rate in Illinois
- Rethinking Nutrient Management: Band Vs Broadcast, Challenging the Current High Soil Build Program
