PHILADELPHIA — 2022 is the 300th anniversary of the birthday of Humphry Marshall who was a cousin of John and William Bartram, an early American horticulturalist and botanist, and member of the PSPA. This field trip will explore Marshallton with town residents and historians from Chester County historical entities. It will feature a re-enactment of the presentation of a Marshall paper to PSPA, , mini-lectures at the Bradford Meeting, a tour of the Martin Tavern as well as the old Blacksmith Shop. Lunch off the menu and on your tab at the Four Dogs Tavern.
