SILVER SPRINGS, N.Y. — Please join us on Labor Day September 4th, 2017 at The Great New York State Fair as The New York Corn & Soybean Growers Association proudly present for the first time ever Human Corn 2017, a live aerial photograph brought to you by Patty’s People Pictures. www.pattyspeoplepictures.com
On June 13, 2017 the NYCSGA lost one of its longest standing members and a dedicated Director, Bill Jenkins. Bill provided years and years of experience, enthusiastic volunteering and comic relief to the Association. He exemplified what it means to serve and was passionate that we continue to grow and promote the industry.
As such, the NYCSGA board will begin The New York Corn and Soybean Bill Jenkins Growing the Next Generation Scholarship which will be offered to students studying agronomy/crop science beginning in the fall of 2017. Proceeds from the Human Corn event will be used to fund this scholarship.
On September 4th, hundreds of people will gather together in a celebration of farmers, family and community at the NYCSGA Cow Garden located in conjunction with the NYAAC Dairy Cow Birthing Center at the corner of Belle Isle and Broadway on NYS Fairgrounds where a corn themed aerial photo formation will be taken. A milk & cookies reception will be held for participants immediately following the event.
In addition to the event t-shirt, participants will also receive a lunch voucher to use at the famous Baker’s Chicken Coop on the day of the event.
