MARYSVILLE, Kan. — Valley Vet Supply is hosting a Horse Hoof Protection and Health Care Seminar on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022 at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. Hoof care and animal health leaders EasyCare Inc., Zoetis, and Merck are thrilled to bring horse owners and farriers this day of learning with a schedule filled with demonstrations and presentations to further your horse’s hoof protection and overall wellness.

Experienced farriers and horse health experts look forward to sharing insights on equine deworming, vaccinations, overall hoof health and conditions, and application of nail- and glue-on shoes. The event also offers a sneak peek into new EasyCare Inc. products available in 2023. Registration for the event is free; pre-registration secures attendees a meal ticket.

“Horse ownership requires head-to-hoof knowledge to offer them the best in health and care, which they more than deserve,” said Kori Simmons, Director of Marketing at Valley Vet Supply. “We’re eager to host this day of learning with our great partners, alongside the Kansas State University Horse Unit, as a resource for horse owners and farriers alike.”

The seminar will be held Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022 at Kansas State University’s Weber Hall Arena (1424 Claflin, Manhattan, KS 66506). On-site registration is from 8 to 8:45 a.m.; the event begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at 4 p.m. that day. Morning refreshments will be provided to all attendees. Pre-registered attendees, who sign up before Dec. 1, receive a complimentary BBQ lunch, compliments of Zoetis and Merck. Come hungry and ready to learn and shop, as Valley Vet Supply will have a booth on-site with items available for purchase, including a special 10% off sale for select EasyCare, Inc. products, including shoes and hoof boots.

“EasyCare has been making hoof protection products for over 52 years,” said Garrett Ford, President at EasyCare Inc. “It’s an exciting time at EasyCare, as urethane shoes and boots are now at the tipping point. We are seeing large numbers of horses move away from metal shoes for the comfort, durability and performance urethane offers.”

Register in advance for the seminar. Share the Facebook event with your friends, and keep watch for updates, too! Continue learning about horse care, at ValleyVet.com.
