COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. — Join Penn State Extension in Montgomery County for a hands-on workshop focused on Home Food Preservation: Pressure Canning. During the workshop you will learn to pressure can food at home. Pressure canning is the only safe way to can low-acid foods, such as vegetables and meats. In this workshop, you will learn the science behind pressure canning recommendations, as well as the basics of using a pressure canner focusing on current USDA canning guidelines.
The workshop will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 5:30 PM at the Penn State Extension Office in Montgomery County (1015 Bridge Road, Collegeville, PA 19426). The cost of the workshop is $15 which includes program material.
