DODGE CITY, Kan. — Western Kansas Manufacturers Association (WKMA), sponsor of the annual 3i SHOW, reminds everyone to SAVE THE DATE for High School Ag Career Day being held on Thursday, October 12, 2017. High School Ag Career Day offers students an opportunity to learn about careers in agriculture. High school ag teachers, their students and parents, high school counselors, FFA representatives, 4-H representatives, and extension agents are invited and requested to help spread the word to make this a GREAT educational event with as many students in attendance as possible!
Session recommendations are requested at this time to assist in planning of this event and can be emailed to info@3ishow.com. Any educational institutions wishing to participate in this event should contact WKMA directly. In addition, any 3i SHOW exhibitors who wish to be a sponsor or host a session in their booth are also invited to contact WKMA.
Last year’s exhibitor partners included the American Welding Society, Crop Production Services, Dodge City Community College, Foley Equipment, K-State Research and Extension, Kansas 4-H, Northwest Kansas Technical College, and the United States Department of Agriculture FSA and NCRS Divisions. Last year’s sessions included Beef Quality Assurance, Diesel Safety, Farm Chemical Safety, GPS Guidance Training, Infrared Field Mapping with an Unmanned Aerial System, Rodeo Showcase, USDA Careers, and What in the World is Welding?
Sessions will be held on the hour, every hour beginning at 9 a.m., allowing students to select which sessions they wish to attend. Students will be encouraged to attend Opening Ceremonies at 10 a.m. The final session of the day will begin at 1 p.m., allowing for students’ timely return to school.
