TYLER, Texas — The Board of Directors of Heritage Land Bank has announced today the results of its election of Board leadership. Kevin Sampson of Troup, Texas was elected Board chair and Roger Claxton of Celeste, Texas was elected vice-chair.
Sampson is the chief engineer for M.P. Industries, Inc. in Tyler, Texas and runs a cow-calf operation in Smith County. Additionally, Sampson produces hay, forage, Tifton 85 sprigs and timber. Sampson has served on the board of Heritage Land Bank since 2006.
Claxton owns and operates Claxton Farms which consists primarily of a stocker cattle operation. Claxton has served on the board of Heritage Land Bank since 2010.
Additionally, leadership for Board committees were elected and are noted below along with a list of committee members.
