KANSAS CITY, Mo. — In the midst of the digital age, it is essential for any business to spearhead new and fresh avenues to improve its marketing. The American Hereford Association’s (AHA) Hereford Publications Inc. (HPI) is thrilled to announce the official launch of Herefords On Demand.
This new online catalog production system for Association members and Hereford breeders is an efficient and complete sale resource for sale offerings of any size. Herefords On Demand features “live” expected progeny differences (EPDs) and pedigree information, with data refreshed on a daily basis. Another effective element is the search function capabilities within and across Herefords On Demand catalogs, with criteria including minimum and maximum EPD numbers, sex, horned and polled identification and a quick search by name and registration number.
“Herefords On Demand is a great promotional tool for Hereford programs regardless of size,” says Joe Rickabaugh, AHA director of field management and seedstock marketing. “It will allow private treaty sale listings, video sale offerings, select small sale events, ongoing sire directories as well as traditional sale catalogs. Herefords On Demand will take promotion of Hereford seedstock to an all new level.”
The many features of Herefords On Demand — daily EPD updates, searchable information within a catalog and across all catalogs, video capabilities and sharing shortcuts — make it a great promotional tool for Hereford breeders.
The process to create a Herefords On Demand catalog has been tailored to be as user-friendly as possible with four simple steps to enter information for the catalog. These steps will guide the user through entering contact information, sale details, lot information and then selecting a layout design. A Creative Services team member will then work directly with the user to approve the catalog before posting it to the AHA website.
“This is a very unique resource for Hereford cattle breeders with any size of herd to use in marketing their sale offerings and operations,” says Samantha Albers, HPI Creative Services coordinator. “The innovative system, designed with clean and simple layouts and paired with refreshed data and search functions, will excel the idea of marketing for the Hereford breed.”
In addition to Herefords On Demand, HPI also offers projects in Creative Services such as printing and mailing sale catalogs, postcards and brochures, and logo creation. The Hereford World magazine is the official publication of the AHA and is enjoyed 11 times per year.
