ALBANY — Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Capital Area Agricultural and Horticultural Program (CAAHP) is collecting information about farm rental rates in the Capital District – and we’re asking farmers, farm service providers, and other producers for their help. CAAHP invites you to complete an online survey about rental rate information in Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Schenectady and Washington Counties.
This short survey can be found by following this link: http://bit.ly/CAAHPRentalRate, and should only take five to ten minutes of your time.
The CAAHP team members are conducting this survey so they’ll have a clearer understanding of farmland rental prices in the six-county Capital District. They also need to have a clear picture of the range of rental rates for farmland in our area. CAAHP team members frequently receive calls from farmers and farm landowners who ask what farmland rental rates are in their area. The information we’ll collect from this survey will help us provide accurate answers when people ask about farm rental rates in their particular county.
Your answers to the survey questions are kept completely confidential. If you have questions, please contact Steve Hadcock at seh11@cornell.edu or 518-380-1497.
