IRVINE, Calif. — UnitedAg, a member-owned agricultural trade association representing more than 650 organizations in California and Arizona, has opened its second Health & Wellness Clinic. The first was in Visalia and the second is in Santa Maria, Calif. Open to all UnitedAg members’ covered employees and dependents, the clinic provides a wide range of services focused on the unique needs of the agricultural community – from acute and episodic care to health-risk and disease management to wellness and prevention –all without charging service co-pays or deductibles for most plans.
Located at 2605 S. Miller Street, Suite 100, in Santa Maria the UnitedAg Health & Wellness Clinic emphasizes short wait times and personalized care, and features on-site lab services and many available on-site prescriptions. The clinic will celebrate its grand-opening at 4 p.m. Friday, April 28, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring civic and community leaders, and ag employers and workers. Interested employers are welcome to attend. To RSVP for the event contact Martee Camarillo at email@example.com or (949) 975-1424.
“We’re very proud to open this new UnitedAg Health & Wellness clinic in the City of Santa Maria, which is such an important hub of the state’s agribusiness community,” said Kirti Mutatkar, President and CEO of UnitedAg. “Together with our Visalia clinic opened late last year, this clinic is helping to usher in a new model in healthcare that delivers comprehensive, high-quality services to farmworkers and their families at an affordable cost.”
“In addition to providing personalized care for the patient, our clinics help to lower our member organizations’ employee health-coverage costs by treating health problems early, thereby reducing unnecessary emergency-room visits and lowering worker absenteeism. With the initial success of our first two clinics, we hope in time to open additional facilities to serve our members and communities across California,” Mutatkar added.
The Santa Maria clinic’s services are provided by Elite Corporate Medical Services, a respected health-services provider that also operates UnitedAg’s Visalia clinic.
