RENSSELAER CO., N.Y. — Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) of Rensselaer County was recently awarded funding for the Harvest Connection Project through the USDA Farmers Market Promotion Program. This is an official notification to Producers of all types of agriculture products in the target seven-county area comprised of Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady and Washington Counties. This is a three-year project with end goals of:
- Expanding an existing searchable web directory of area specialty crops producers (harvestconnection-ny.com) to include all agricultural products information in a consumer-friendly format.
- Provide social media training to Ag businesses, producers, and farmers to increase access to digital marketing tools.
- Help Capital Region residents increase their access to local agricultural products through use of the Harvest Connection website.
To better meet the needs of participating producers, we need your input. Below is a link to a very short survey that we would appreciate farmers completing by February 17th at:
We invite farmers and producers to attend one of our orientation sessions which will provide an in-depth picture of the Harvest Connection Project. There will be four different locations and times (please see below). We hope one will fit your schedule. Harvest Connection Orientations

February 22nd , 6 PM – CCE of Saratoga County – 50 W. High St., Ballston Spa, NY
February 27th, 6 PM – CCE of Rensselaer County – 61 State St., Troy, NY
February 28th , 6 PM – Bethlehem Public Library Board Room – 451 Delaware Ave., Delmar, NY
