WESTHAMPTON, Mass. — The Hampshire County Farm Bureau is set to host its annual tractor ride and fundraiser on Sept. 8 starting and ending at Outlook Farm on Rt. 66 in Westhampton, Massachusetts. Make plans to attend and/or enter your tractor!
“Tractor rides celebrate Massachusetts’ farming heritage,” said Massachusetts Farm Bureau Federation President Mark Amato, who manages Verrill Farm in Concord. “Farmers are able to show off their tractors to one another and the public, while enjoying a scenic tour of the backroads in the Commonwealth. Your support of this annual event, by entering your tractor, helps Hampshire County Farm Bureau remain a strong advocate for agriculture.”
Registration will take place from 7:30 am until 9:00 am on Sept. 8. A drivers’ meeting will be held at 9:15 am and the ride will start at 9:30 am. All drivers must have a valid license, rubber wheeled tractors, no passengers, tractors capable of 12 mph, working brakes, slow moving vehicle sign(s) and no trailers. Please note that all tractors are subject to inspection.
To register to ride, please contact Richard Jaescke at 413-584-7898. It is $20 to just participate in the tractor ride and $32 to participate in the tractor ride and take part in the meal.
The Hampshire County Farm Bureau looks forward to seeing you and possibly your tractor at the upcoming ride.
