COLUMBIA, S.C. – Calling all greenhouse growers! In partnership with the South Carolina Department of Agriculture, the South Carolina Greenhouse Grower Association (SCGGA) is hosting an education program on the successful tools needed for all forms of greenhouse agriculture. Whether you’re an experienced grower or just starting out, this program is for you.
The program will be held on Thursday, June 20th at the Phillips Market Center, centrally located at the State Farmers Market (117 Ballard Ct., West Columbia, SC 29172). Highlighting the program will be a series of workshops covering topics such as greenhouse structures, container fertilization, identification of pests, water regulations, pesticide usage and biocontrol techniques.
Along with these varied and informative workshops, this program also presents the opportunity to earn the following Continuing Education Units (CEUs): 3 SC Pesticide Applicator Recertification CEUs, 4 GA Pesticide Applicator Recertification CEUs, and 3 NC Pesticide Applicator Recertification CEUs.

In addition, the SCGGA Annual Meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. at 645 Barr Road, Lexington, SC 29072, and will include dinner and a tour of the Carolina Daylilies facility. Non-members are welcome to attend this meeting as well.
